As a full-service community mental health center, Counseling & Recovery Services will assess and treat all mental illnesses including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. We also treat substance abuse. Our agency provides services to people without insurance, with Medicaid, Medicare and some private insurances.

Assessment
Just like with high blood pressure or diabetes, a mental health issue requires a diagnosis. This is done through an assessment where a therapist identifies what causes the negative moods, feelings or behaviors. A plan is created to manage and recover from the issues.
Counseling
With the help of therapists and clinicians, clients learn to respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills. Individual and/or group therapy is available for a variety of issues including depression, schizophrenia,
For example, some clients want to learn how to manage their illnesses, look for a job, organize and pay bills, plan and prepare meals, or find and keep adequate housing. Clinicians work one-on-one with clients on these and many other issues.

Medication
Studies show a combination of therapy and medication works best for many disorders. Following the assessment and diagnosis, most clients see a psychiatrist or physician specializing in psychiatric medications.
Pharmacy
To help our clients with access to medications, our agency operates a pharmacy just for them. Our pharmacy staff also helps clients apply for medication assistance.
Housing
Living in a clean, safe and affordable place promotes stability, security
Clients who have independent housing receive education, counseling and other support to avoid losing this housing.
