Four Tulsa Downtown Lions Club members came today (June 12) with tools, a pick-up truck and the determination to make a difference. They certainly did and we thank them.  In less than two hours, they cleaned furniture, lined shelves, hauled away broken furniture, and committed to come back to help with multiple projects.

Our clients and staff are so grateful when community groups like the Lions take time to help and to learn about what we do here at Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma.

The Lions are volunteering at ActionHouse, a weekday group program where adults living with mental illness and substance abuse issues come to learn skills that improve daily living, work-place readiness, social and family relationships. For many people, ActionHouse is their family.
