I first learned about Counseling and Recovery Services of Oklahoma (CRSOK) in 2017, through Leadership Tulsa and Wendy Thomas. The organization listed human resources as expertise that was needed on the board, so my choice for a local Board internship was easy. I’ve been in HR for more than a decade and still consider it a strong passion. Whenever I can lend my knowledge to someone or an organization in need, it brings me great joy. Currently, I chair the Human Resources Committee and sit on the Finance and Board Governance Committees.

Besides CRSOK, I am a member of Toastmasters International and have served as an Area Director for clubs and Division Director for Area Directors. I love seeing members grow their public speaking skills and confidence. My undergraduate degree in HR is from the University of Mississippi, where I was born, and graduate degree is from the University of Oklahoma in Organization Dynamics, emphasis in HR. Previously I’ve served the Laura Dester Childrens’ Shelter and Tulsa Boys’ Home and other local organizations through the Junior League of Tulsa.

In my free time, I like to stay healthy, mentally and physically, by doing barre classes and hiking. My hobbies include traveling, being outside and spending time with family.
