Want answers and actions for difficult moments in parenting?

Attend Becoming a Love and Logic Parent©. This parenting course teaches simple techniques that are effective with all children, from toddlers to teens. The next one day class is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 24. The next six week class begins April 30. Most classes will meet at Counseling & Recovery Services in the Helmerich Conference Room, 7020 S. Yale.

Pre-registration is required. No childcare is available. The cost is $50 per person for the one day class and $90 per person for the six week course. For registration or more information, contact Stephanie Taylor at 918.392.5813 or staylor@crsok.org.

John Paris, Pat Avery and Stephanie Taylor are staff of Wraparound Tulsa, a service helping children and young adults ages 4-18 with significant emotional and behavioral health challenges. They recently attended Love and Logic Institute training in Denver, Co., to offer this workshop in the Tulsa area.

Parents will learn how to:

  • Avoid power struggles and arguments
  • Stay calm when kids do incredibly upsetting things
  • Set enforceable limits
  • Avoid enabling and begin empowering
  • Help your kids learn from mistakes rather than repeat them
  • Raise respectful and responsible kids
