Certified Work Incentive Counselor (22-030):
Counseling & Recovery services of Oklahoma is looking for a Certified Work Incentive Counselor (CWIC) to join our Sanctuary certified agency. The CWIC provides counseling and assistance to individuals at our agency who are considering or anticipating changes in their employment situation. This position provides work incentives planning around SSA benefits, medical benefits, medication subsidies, housing subsidies, food stamps, etc. This individual works closely with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) team while they actively help people to find employment. The goal of this position is to help people understand their benefits and how obtaining or increasing their employment may or may not affect their benefits earned. This individual must complete the required training offered online through Cornell University (funded by our agency). Bachelor’s degree in the field of social or human sciences from a recognized university preferred as well as experience working with persons with disabilities or personal experience with a disability. Candidate will be responsible for incorporating the agency’s Sanctuary Model principles and tools into client care. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
