CALM Center renovations are underway thanks to gifts from generous donors. Ten of the 15 client beds will be available during construction to provide quality care to children ages 10-17 in crisis and their families.

“We’ve worked with our construction partners, D.C. Bass & Sons, to maintain the maximum number of beds possible during construction,” CALM Director Matthew Crum said. “We will continue to serve our community families with no alteration of our scope of services.”

Construction will impact CALM Center parking. Limited parking spaces are available for clients being admitted. Visitors are asked to park on the street. A nearby business generously made space available for staff parking.

The goal is to complete construction in May, Crum said. “We look forward to showing you our updated facility in the future.”

The CALM Center is celebrating 10 years as eastern Oklahoma’s only crisis stabilization center for youth and one of only three in the state, filling the gap between outpatient and inpatient care. Children stay for up to seven days of treatment.
