Recovery Starts Here

Steve Odom

I have been a board member with Counseling and Recovery Services of Oklahoma since 2012. I came to the board as an Intern from Leadership Tulsa, Class 46.

I have been a Tulsa Police officer since 1982. I am currently assigned to the Mingo Valley Division, where I am the Administrative Captain. Individuals with substance abuse issues, people with mental health issues, people with behavioral issues and people with co occurring substance and mental health issues play a very large role in police response. It is clear that some people and their families cannot manage their challenges without police intervention. Unfortunately, law enforcement often times must become involved in those instances. However, law enforcement officers
can usually only offer a temporary fix.

Counseling and Recovery Services of Oklahoma serves the community as an excellent resource to help both clients and their families with counseling, medications, housing and complete wrap around services.
