Recovery Starts Here

Kathy Thomas

I became interested in joining the Counseling & Recovery Services board after I learned about the services they provide to the community at little or no cost. Also, I have an interest in how organizations such as Counseling & Recovery Services function using the Sanctuary model. I am deeply impressed with the Sanctuary model, and Counseling & Recovery Services as an organization.

In 2001, I retired from the military after a 24 year career. I am originally from Virginia, but I moved to Tulsa to attend college after my retirement. I am still a student, presently working on a doctorate in education at Oral Roberts University. I also serve as a chaplain for Tulsa Police Department, Tulsa Fire Department and Hillcrest Medical Center.  Lastly, I work with several veterans’ groups.

I am single and have no children.
